Pushing technology and boundaries seems to be the norm these days. All digital media needs to be formatted for so many types of display devices. There are people now that have jobs of just hand coding for iphones. How the world has changed in such a small amount of time. I'm not 100% sure about the social ramifications from the rise of facebook and twitter. For one I don't really want to know that you're cold and bored - it just doesn't impact my life.
The best part about this month of August is the start of SALA. I've been to a couple of galleries last week and plan to hit some more up this weekend. It's great to see other peoples work in hard copy not just via my computer. The texture of the canvases (the free wine) and meeting people who share such a driven vision based art form.
Everyday i'm pushing new things and learning more and more about the possibilities of the partnership between computers and the human mind.
Now it's time to get my other skills refined like photography, lighting and even looking into scanography which is a such an old input device and yet people are doing some really nice 3d work just but scanning objects and integrating them with photography. The future is bright and there isn't much more to do but jump into it head first!
